Already Microsoft has released some news regarding the original Xbox releases on December 4th. Users may suffer technical difficulties including frame rate drops and lack of in-game content support. Heres a quote:

The new changes to Halo 3 matchmaking system have now been implemented:
Social Doubles has been removed from matchmaking
Rocket Race Hopper has been added to the Social hopper – 8 players, join in parties of up to 8 players.
